I work strictly on my own projects only. I work in many mediums, however most often the work is done in an oil based clay, sometimes evolving into a wax reproduction before a silicone mold is made of the piece. Then I am able to cast it multiple times, though I have that done for me because I don't feel that I am growing when I am tied to the casting process. I also paint the sculptures after they have been casted.
I was a commercial sculptor for 15 years in Chicago, IL. This is probably why I only work on my own pieces now. I enjoy working large and right now most pieces are a commercial effort. In the near future I will be searching my soul to expand the number of one-of-a-kind pieces I can offer.
While currently based out of Indiana, I will be moving "David Andre Studios" to Vietnam. Once there, I will work with and give generously to underprivileged children as I work closely with schools out there. I will attempt to help as many people as I can.
